Membrane-free fabrics do not need a urethane membrane to give you protection from dust mites, pollen or pet dander. When looking at a membrane free mattress cover the most important thing to consider is the pore size. (open air space that exists between the threads in mattress cover  fabric) The smaller the pore size the more allergens are blocked. Dust mite fecal particles are somewhere around 10 microns in size therefore you want mattress cover that the fabric has a pore size less than 10 microns. All of our membrane free mattress covers have a pore size less than 5 microns.

Membrane fabrics like our Linen and Night Nite Nylon are considered traditional style mattress covers. Each of these fabrics are fused to a breath cool urethane membrane that makes them allergy proof.
